Presence

Outlook calendars, Google calendars, private, work, shared. Everyone has made the move towards digital calendars. We can access them from our phones, tablets and computers, anywhere in the world. We can easily sync with colleagues and share them with our loved ones. Is that what we want though? Do we really want to ‘manage’ our private lives like we manage our work?

PRESENCE is a simple and elegant way to perceive at a glance when two, three or more people will have free time together. When we are home there is no need to know when we will be busy. We want to see when we can be together, when we can have dinner, visit grandma or go to the beach. Personal switches allow you to easily change view from all to just a few people. Presence automatically syncs with your digital calendar(s) and highlights the shared free time in the upcoming seven days.

Constructing the switches. Using layers to make a convenient integration of electronics and mechanics.

The click-on switch demonstrates the possibility to expand the system and adapt to different situations
